Lecard, founded in 2011 by Flávio Figueiredo Assis, is a benefits card administrator offering solutions such as food, meal, and transportation vouchers for companies and public entities.
Flávio moves to Alphaville/SP to oversee the rapid growth of the LECARD, which reached over 1 billion reais in annual transactions.
With the sale of the LECARD, Flávio decides to invest all his assets in the dream of creating the Lecar, focused on sustainable mobility. The rest of 2022 was dedicated to forming the team and developing the initial concepts and technologies of the company.
The team begins to assemble the first prototype of the Lecar, the Model 459, an 100% electric car.
Due to global trends, the Lecar discontinues the 100% electric project and focuses on developing the Lecar 459 Hybrid Flex with Range Extender, adapting to market needs.
Flávio announces the construction of a factory in Sooretama/ES, with production expected to start in 2026, reinforcing the commitment to the national industry.
The Lecar finalizes the design and technologies of the Lecar 459 Hybrid Flex with Range Extender, preparing for the prototyping phase and future large-scale production.
The Lecar product line shares the same powertrain, consisting of a Horse flex-fuel combustion engine and a WEG power generator. This system does not directly drive the vehicle; instead, it functions as an electric generator to recharge a small battery pack, which powers the electric motor responsible for the car's traction.

Located in Sooretama/ES, 119 km from Vitória and strategically positioned on the BR-101 highway, our factory will be a landmark in the national industry. With 90,000 m² of built area on a large, sustainable site, it will be a space for technology, innovation and training.

In the municipality of Sooretama, in Espírito Santo, 119 km from the capital, Vitória. Strategic and decisive for the choice, the town is just 25 km from Linhares airport and 100 km from the Espírito Santo port complex, which is responsible for 23% of Brazil's exports and imports.
The factory will be seeking LEED GOLD and Green Seal certifications for safety, punctuality, productivity and waste reduction, as well as solar energy generation and rainwater reuse.
On the banks of the BR 101 highway, the area covers 460,000 square meters. Lecar will have tax exemptions and benefits for construction and operation for a period of 10 years.
The foundation stone will be laid in 2024 and the plant is expected to open in August 2026, with the capacity to produce 120,000 cars a year, with around 1,500 direct employees and 3,000 indirect employees.
